JCP Maltus, Le Dome Food and Wine Pairing Degustation

On the evening of November 18th

Darren Gall hosted a small number of private and very special guests at a private dinner in the new dining room upstairs at Baldwin’s Bistro.

The wine-pairing degustation was for ten people, with special guests from the prestigious and famed Saint Emillion winery ‘Le Dome,’ owned by Jonathan Maltus OBE.

Director General Nicolas Robl and Asia Sales Director Xiao Qi were in Cambodia for 24 hours just for this dinner, bringing with them an amazing lineup of wines that included: Le Nardian, Chateau Vieux Mazerat, Le Carre, Chateau Teyssier, Les Asteries, Chateau Laforge, and of course, the highlight, Le Dome.

The dishes served were jackfruit soup, beetroot millefeuille, smoked duck salad, slow-cooked lamb, and a selection of fine imported cheeses to finish.

Guests loved the wines, raved about the food, and complimented the wine pairings. Our winery guests were mightily impressed, and it made the team very proud to showcase our cuisine and service to this small but exclusive audience of local and international food and wine experts.

It was the first of hopefully many such intimate and exceptional events upstairs in the private dining room at Baldwins, where we can curate and showcase the fine dining and creative gastronomy aspects of our kitchen team, a true highlight for all in attendance and for our staff, front and back of house.
